Selecting a Web Design Company

When embarking on the journey of creating a new website for your business you may find yourself extremely overwhelmed. You will be bombarded with so called “experts” that can make you what you want and promise you everything. It will be hard to sift through who can help you and who just wants to cash a check. From our experience dealing with different software companies who sell products we use to help us make our end product, we deal a lot with sales calls and customer service.

Some things that we have learned while make selections are:

We like talking to the same person every time. Meaning that speaking with the same person about how the product works, how they can help us, and how they will develop a relationship with us is important. You should keep those things in mind. The hard sellers are to be avoided. Find a company that cares about what you do and wants to see your company succeed. In our own business, we understand that you are good at what you do in terms of having a bricks and mortar style business. We want to facilitate that transition to the internet for you and guide you through the journey of setting up this other leg of your business. Our goal is always to see you succeed. If you do well, then it looks good on our parts and helps us grow as well. We think mutual growth is our best plan to succeed.

If they don’t email or call back in 24 hours, they just don’t care. It is amazing how many times we try to reach out to companies to learn more about their products or services and they simply never get back to us. You would think that receiving a cold call that is trying to give them business would be great, but apparently some people are just too busy. Instant red flag. When you deal with us you can literally call at whatever time and someone will answer. We know the feeling of growing your business and needing to talk to someone to make a wrong a right or to simply ask a question.

We like hearing excitement and passion from people. In our own personal experience we deal with a lot of people and usually they have 2 reactions, either they just don’t care or they light up with excitement. When selecting a company to work with, you need to know they are excited about what you do and that they understand what has made you successful. This doesn’t mean you should not be open to constructive criticism, but you want to find a company that will work with you as an extension of your team. We pride ourselves in assimilating with your corporate culture and working to bridge the gap between your real world business and your internet business.

Find a company that is willing to do it as many times as it takes to get it right. At Simple Strategies we encounter companies that offer us 1 time fixes and do not really care if we solve our problems. When we sign on to build your website we understand that sometimes we need to go back to the drawing board or fix something. You can never be too perfect with what you do.
